George Hann (1898-1979)

Born in Prestwich, Manchester he was a lifelong journeyman painter who travelled around the British Isles and the Continent working in largely an impressionist style whilst occasionally flirting with the more modernist movements of the day. He kept studios in Chelsea and Brighton retiring to the latter in his final years. His work can be found in the collections of North Lanarkshire Council Museums, University College London Hospitals and the Maclaurin Art Gallery.
