Birgit Hildegard Forssell Nyberg
She was the daughter of the author Hans Otto Forssell and Greta Johanna Aaron and from 1969 was married to the artist Tore Lennart Nyberg .
Forssell began painting in 1925 and spent 1926–1927 in Paris before studying art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm 1927–1933. She returned to Paris where she studied with André Lhote from 1937 to 1939, after which she undertook study trips to Budapest, Vienna, France and Denmark. Separately, she exhibited at the Konstnärshuset in Stockholm, the Art Gallery in Gothenburg, Paletten in Norrköping and at the Gävle museum . She took part in collective exhibitions at the Swedish-French art gallery and the exhibitions of the Swedish Artists Association . She painted figures, portraits, and landscapes around the Marstrand region. Forssell is represented in Norrköping Art Museum , Kalmar Art Museum and Gävle Museum.
